Defendant NY Ventures LLC's motion to quash service of summons is off calendar. The motion was filed by Nancy Yee on behalf of NY Ventures LLC, yet Ms. Yee is not a licensed California attorney and does not appear to be an attorney licensed in another state. Because NY Ventures LLC must be represented by a licensed California attorney (CLD Construction, Inc. v. City of San Ramon (2004) 120 Cal. App. 4th 1141, 1146) or an out-of-state attorney admitted pro hac vice, the motion is taken off calendar.

For the 9:00 a.m. calendar, all attorneys and parties may appear in Department 301 remotely or in person. Remote hearings will be conducted by videoconference using Zoom. The court no longer provides a court reporter in the Law & Motion or Discovery Department. Parties may retain their own reporter, who may appear in the courtroom or remotely. A retained reporter must be a California certified court reporter (CSR), for only a CSR's transcript may be used in California courts.
