Defendant NY Ventures LLC's motion to quash service of summons is off calendar. The motion was filed by Nancy Yee on behalf of NY Ventures LLC, yet Ms. Yee is not a licensed California attorney and does not appear to be an attorney licensed in another state. Because NY Ventures LLC must be represented by a licensed California attorney (CLD Construction, Inc. v. City of San Ramon (2004) 120 Cal. App. 4th 1141, 1146) or an out-of-state attorney admitted pro hac vice, the motion is taken off calendar. This is the exact same ruling issued by the court on October 9, 2025. Ms. Yee is admonished not to file the motion without an attorney appearing for the moving party.

Counsel for the prevailing party is required to prepare a proposed order which repeats verbatim the substantive portion of the tentative ruling and must email it to contestdept301tr@sftc.org prior to the hearing even if the tentative ruling is not contested.

The court no longer provides a court reporter in the Law & Motion or Discovery Department. Parties may retain their own reporter, who may appear in the courtroom or remotely.
