Procedural History 18 1) The parties are Petitioner Maura Huerta (Mother) and Respondent Llancarlo Romo (Bolanos) 19 (Father). The parties have one minor child: Giovanni Romo (DOB: 02/26/12). 20 2) At the prior September 9, 2025 hearing, the Court appointed minor’s counsel and ordered minor’s 21 counsel to reach out to Mother, Father, Father’s counsel, and the minor’s therapist, Ms. Figueroa. 22 Mother was ordered to participate in therapy. The matter was continued to November 20, 2025, to 23 allow Mother to obtain a therapist and to allow minor’s counsel to contact all parties.
The Court 24 ordered update declarations to be filed and served 10 days prior to the next hearing. 25 3) On November 10, 2025, Father filed a Responsive Declaration with the Court, which was read 26 and considered by the Court. 27 4) On November 13, 2025, Mother filed an Update Declaration, which was read and considered by 28 the Court. 29
1 5) On November 20, 2025, the Court continued the matter to 2/5/2026 to allow for minor’s counsel 2 to be formally appointed, interview the parties and therapist, and provide a 3 report/recommendations to the Court. 4 6) On January 27, 2026, Father filed a Responsive Declaration, which was read and considered by 5 the Court. 6 7) On February 2, 2026, minor’s counsel filed a statement for hearing, which was read and 7 considered by the Court. 8 8) On February 5, 2026, the parties appeared at hearing and the Court issued the following orders: 9 a.
Sole legal and sole physical custody to Father. 10 b. Mother and Giovanni to have one-hour supervised visit each week at Rally Family 11 Services (Rally). 12 c. Mother and Father to each pay one-half of the costs of supervised visits. 13 d. Mother and Father to complete their respective intakes with Rally within 14 days of 14 February 5, 2026. 15 e. Rally to prepare reports of the supervised visits for the Court. 16 f. Mother permitted to Facetime, call, and text with Giovanni as she wishes. 17 g.
Father to encourage Giovanni to Facetime, call, and text with Mother whenever he 18 (Giovanni) wishes. 19 h. Minor’s counsel to talk with Giovanni about whether he wants Mother to attend his 20 graduation. 21 i. Minor’s counsel to provide Giovanni’s current telephone number to Mother. 22 j. The parties to file update declarations at least 10 days before the hearing on May 12, 23 2026. 24 k. Matter continued to May 12, 2026 for review of Rally visits. 25 9) On May 1, 2026, Father filed a Responsive Declaration, which has been read and considered by 26 the Court.
