April 17, 2026 Case Management Conference Tentative Rulings

1. CL0001165 Victor Navarrete vs. Jennin Valentine Martinez, et al. Appearances are required by all parties to advise as to the status of this case. Appearances required by defendants, JVM Landscape Construction and Jennin Martinez to show cause why they each should not be sanctioned $250 for failing to file a case management conference statement as previously ordered by this Court. The Court additionally notes both these parties have again failed to timely file case management conference statements in advance of this date, and the Court reserves jurisdiction to consider the instant failure in conjunction with any future failure to file a CMC Statement.

2. CL0002298 Wells Fargo Bank, N.A. vs. Victoria Bolshakoff On the Court’s own motion, the default prove up hearing in this matter is continued to May 15, 2026 at 9:30 a.m. in Dept. A. Plaintiff shall notice Defendant of the continued hearing date. Said continuance is necessitated by the improper notice served on Defendant indicating the prove up hearing was occurring at the Nevada City branch location which is not where Department A is located. Thus, the notice is confusing, misleading and improper. This is the second notice of such nature. Plaintiff is directed to serve Defendant forthwith with a clear notice of the date, time, department and address of the Truckee Branch of the Court.

3. CL0003105 Velocity Investments LLC vs. Lani Ackerman No appearance required. The Court sets a hearing re dismissal due to failure to serve the defendant within two years of commencement of the action pursuant to CCP 583.420 as follows: August 20, 2027 at 1:30 p.m. in Department A.

4. CU0001681 Randy Ryan Agno, et al. vs. James L Gould, IV., et al. No appearances are required. On the Court’s motion, the case management conference is continued to July 17, 2026 at 9:00 a.m., in Department A to permit pending motions to be adjudicated.

5. CU0001840 Richard A. Perdomo Canales v. Best Western International, Inc., et al. No appearances are required. This case is at issue. Jury fees are paid. The Court sets jury trial and related dates as follows:

Trial: April 7, 8, 9, 14, 15, 21, and 22, 2027 at 8:30 a.m. each day, Dept. A PTC: March 9, 2027 at 1:30 p.m., Dept. A MSC: February 19, 2027 at 9:30 a.m., Dept. A (See, LR 4.02)

A pre-trial order shall issue. Unless a party objects to this tentative ruling, gives notice of said objection and appears at the Case Management Conference, parties are deemed to have waived notice of trial AND asserted they will waive conflict on the record at the MSC allowing the trial judge to conduct the MSC.
