(a)A sheriff or other officer who wilfully refuses or neglects to execute any summons, subpoena, or attachment for a witness or any other legal process the officer has a duty to execute is liable for a fine for contempt in an amount in the court's discretion of not less than $10 or more than $200.
(b)The payment of a fine under Subsection (a) shall be enforced in the same manner as a fine for contempt in a civil case.
