§ 503

(a)Route 203 is from the Mono county line near Minaret Summit to Route 395.

(b)(1) The commission may relinquish to the Town of Mammoth Lakes all or a portion of Route 203 within its jurisdiction, upon terms and conditions the commission finds to be in the best interests of the state, if the department and the Town of Mammoth Lakes enter into an agreement providing for that relinquishment and the relinquishment complies with all applicable requirements of the Federal Highway Administration and the United States Forest Service.

(2)The relinquishment shall become effective on the date following the county recorder’s recordation of the relinquishment resolution containing the commission’s approval of the terms and conditions of the relinquishment.
