View on leginfo.ca.govEvery person who attempts or purports to exercise any of the rights, privileges or powers of a suspended domestic insurer or attempts to transact any intrastate business in this state in behalf of a forfeited foreign insurer is guilty of a misdemeanor. Upon conviction he shall be punished by a fine not exceeding two thousand dollars ($2,000), or by imprisonment in a county jail not exceeding one year, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
