View on leginfo.ca.gov(a)After a ward has reached majority, the ward may settle accounts with the guardian and give the guardian a release which is valid if obtained fairly and without undue influence.
(b)Except as otherwise provided by this code, a guardian is not entitled to a discharge until one year after the ward has attained majority.
