View on leginfo.ca.govFor the purposes of Section 3728, a well is properly abandoned when it has been shown to the satisfaction of the supervisor that all proper steps have been taken to protect underground or surface water suitable for irrigation or farm or domestic purposes from the infiltration or addition of any detrimental substance, and to prevent the escape of all fluids to the surface.
