California Labor Code
§ 2693
LAB § 2693 Effective Jul 16, 2021Div. 2 · Part 11 · Ch. 4
Statute text
View on leginfo.ca.govThe Legislature finds and declares that the garment industry is rife with both egregious wage violations and flagrant health and safety violations, both of which have been allowed to proliferate in the pandemic, leading to the deaths of dozens of garment workers. However, not all workers who experience these violations have access to advocates in order to vindicate their rights, due to the limited capacity of legal aid and community-based organizations.
