View on leginfo.ca.gov(a)The authority shall be governed by a board of trustees. The trustees shall reflect both the expertise necessary to maximize the quality and scope of care at the medical center and the other health care facility in a fiscally responsible manner and the communities of interest that the medical center and the other health care facility serve. The board of trustees shall have the responsibility to operate the medical center and the other health care facility in a manner that ensures the provision of appropriate, quality, and cost-effective medical care through the development of innovative delivery systems, care arrangements, and contractual agreements that provide access to affordable, high-quality health care services.
(b)(1) The board of trustees shall consist of the following nine members:
(A)Three trustees appointed for two-year terms, of which the governing board shall appoint two and the board of supervisors shall appoint one.
