§ 65302.01

View on leginfo.ca.gov(a)Upon the next update of one or more elements described in Section 65302, on or after January 1, 2028, the safety element shall be reviewed and updated as necessary to address the hazard of extreme heat.
(1)A city or county that has adopted an extreme heat action plan or other document that fulfills commensurate goals and objectives may use that information in the safety element to comply with this subdivision and, in that event, shall summarize and incorporate into the safety element that other plan or document.
(2)A city or county may use or reference information in the Extreme Heat Action Plan described in Section 71361 of the Public Resources Code and the State Hazard Mitigation Plan required pursuant to the federal Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000 (Public Law 106-390) to comply with the requirements of this subdivision.
