View on leginfo.ca.govThe payment, gift, or the offer or promise of any payment or gift, of money or other thing of value by any person, directly or indirectly or through any agent or other intermediary, to any handler or producer, or the acceptance by any handler or producer of the payment or gift or thing of value is an unlawful trade practice if it is for any of the following:
(a)For the purpose of inducing a handler or producer to enter into a new contract, or to renew, extend, or modify an existing contract, for the purchase of market milk by a handler from a producer.
(b)As a condition upon which a handler will enter into a new contract, or renew, extend, or modify an existing contract, for the purchase of market milk from a producer.
