View on leginfo.ca.govThe governing board of any school district, may contract for the services of a hearing officer pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 14 (commencing with Section 27720), Part 3, Division 2, Title 3 of the Government Code and, for purposes of that chapter, the governing board is deemed to be a local body and the school district a local public entity.
