View on leginfo.ca.govThe county superintendent of schools shall, when there is sufficient money in the fund of any school district to maintain a free school in the district for 175 days of actual teaching, if the trustees neglect or refuse to employ a teacher, appoint a teacher, and open and keep the school. The county superintendent of schools may draw a requisition upon the county auditor, who shall draw a warrant upon the fund of the district for the expense incurred.
