View on leginfo.ca.govIn addition to the requirements of Sections 4076 and 4076.5, whenever a prescription drug containing an opioid is dispensed to a patient for outpatient use, the pharmacy or practitioner dispensing the drug shall prominently display on the label or container, by means of a flag or other notification mechanism attached to the container, a notice that states “Caution: Opioid. Risk of overdose and addiction.”
