Ruling
Matter on the Law & Motion / Discovery calendar for Monday, September 8, 2025, Line 4. 2 - DEFENDANT CRUISE LLC's Motion To Urgent Care Clifton To Compel Compliance With Deposition Subpoena For Medical Records; Request For Order Awarding Monetary Sanctions Against Urgent Care Clifton In The Sum Of $2,280.00.
Cruise LLC's motion to compel compliance with its deposition subpoena against Sportsmed Physical Therapy LLC is denied. The subpoena was served in New Jersey only after it was domesticated via a New Jersey proceeding. This court exercises jurisdiction only in California. Cruise's moving papers do not address whether the court has jurisdiction in this circumstance to order a New Jersey entity to comply with a New Jersey court's domestication order. The court concludes it does not and that the New Jersey court issuing the domestication order is the proper court to look to for relief.

The text of the email shall include the name and contact information, including email address, of the attorney or party who will appear at the hearing.
