LUNA) 11) 12 REQUEST FOR ORDER FOR CHANGE OF CHANGE OF CHILD CUSTODY, VISITATION 13 (PARENTING TIME) 14 TENTATIVE RULING 15 Having read and considered the pleadings, declarations, and other evidence submitted in this matter, the 16 Court makes the following findings and orders: 17 A. Procedural History 18 1) The parties are Petitioner Pearl Brown (Mother) and Respondent Idries Aziz Pearson (Father). 19 There is one minor child subject to this proceeding: Leamon Aziz-Pearson (DOB: 12/21/10). 20 2) On February 18, 2026, Father filed a Request for Order seeking modification of the existing child 21 custody and visitation orders.
The existing order is from April 18, 2023 and provides Mother sole 22 legal and sole physical custody and Father parenting time every other week from Friday after 23 school until Thursday. Father requests: 24 a. Sole legal and sole physical custody of the minor child; and 25 b. Supervised visitation to Mother from Friday after school until Monday morning drop-off 26 at school. 27 3) On March 23, 2026, the Court held a readiness hearing and referred the parties to Family Court 28 Services (FCS) Mediation on April 3, 2026 and set a return hearing on May 5, 2026. 29 4) Mother did not file an opposition to Father’s motion.
1 B. Findings and Order 2 1) This Court has jurisdiction to make child custody orders in this case under the Uniform Child 3 Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act. A violation of this order may subject the party in 4 violation to civil or criminal penalties, or both. The country of habitual residence of the minor 5 child is the United States. 6 2) Father’s request for sole legal and sole physical custody is GRANTED. 7 3) Effective 5/8/26, Mother’s parenting time with the minor child shall be unsupervised and occur 8 every Friday after school to Monday morning drop off at school. 9 4) All prior orders, not in conflict, shall remain in full force and effect. 10 5) The Court will prepare the Findings and Order After Hearing. 11
