Procedural History 17 1) The parties are Petitioner Maria Hidalgo (Mother) and Respondent Temar Hunt (Father).
The 18 parties have two minor children, Aviona (DOB: 7/30/2012) and Aniyah (DOB: 4/14/2015). 19 Mother is represented by contempt counsel Margaret Pendergast. Father is self-represented. 20 2) At a prior hearing on 8/28/2025 and 9/5/2025, the Court adjudicated Father’s Order to Show 21 Cause Re: Contempt filed 2/25/2025. Mother was represented by contempt counsel Margaret 22 Pendergast. The Court found that Mother had willfully violated Court orders by failing to make 23 court-ordered payments toward attorney’s fees and engaging in non-peaceful communication with 24 Father.
The Court ordered Mother to complete 100 hours of community service to commence on 25 10/1/2025, to be completed by 1/31/2026. The Court noted that Mother was not working and 26 noted it believed 10 hours a week of community service was appropriate. The Court ordered that 27 Mother focus her community service on organizations that protect children. The Court ordered 28 Mother to file and serve a declaration attesting to completion of the Court ordered community 29 service hours on or before 1/31/2026, with documentary proof of compliance (e.g., a signed letter
