18 A. Procedural History 19 1) Peter Holt Thompson (Father) and Katie Anne Roberts (Mother) have one minor child together, 20 Fin, age 5 (DOB 3/4/21). On 12/06/22, the parties agreed to share joint legal and joint physical 21 custody of Fin, with three weekly overnight parenting time days for Father and additional times to 22 be determined by mutual agreement. The parties also agreed to a three-hour right of first refusal 23 and to a holiday schedule in the instance they are not able to agree to a holiday schedule. (See 24 Stipulation and Order filed 12/12/22.) 25 2) In a Findings and Order After Hearing filed 11/26/2025, the Court ordered that beginning April 26 2026, Father shall have parenting time every Wednesday afternoon from school pick up (or 3pm 27 if no school) until Friday morning school drop off (or 9am if no school) and every other weekend 28 from Friday afternoon school pick up (or 3pm if no school) until Sunday at 3pm.

1 issued additional orders relating to modification of parenting time, right of first refusal, 2 extracurriculars, and travel. 3 3) On 2/13/2026, Father filed a request to move to Alameda County with Fin. Mother filed a 4 responsive declaration opposing the request. 5 B. Findings and Orders 6 1) This Court has jurisdiction to make child custody orders in this case under the Uniform Child 7 Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act. A violation of this order may subject the party in 8 violation to civil or criminal penalties, or both.
The country of habitual residence of the minor 9 child is the United States. 10 2) The Court intends to set a long-cause hearing / trial on Mother's request to move away with Fin. 11 The parties are ordered to appear at 9am on 4/14/2026 in Department 404 to provide the 12 Court with an estimate of how long they believe a trial will take, and for the Court to 13 schedule the trial. 14
