25CV120423: PRAT vs PUAMAU, et al. 08/13/2026 Order to Show Cause Re: Sanctions/Dismissal in Department 517

Tentative Ruling - 08/12/2026 Keith Fong

The Court dismisses the action for the reasons stated in the Order to Show Cause (OSC). Among other things, Plaintiff has failed to comply with 5/29/26 deadline to resubmit his application for default judgment. Also, Plaintiff has not filed a response to the OSC, which the Court warned would be grounds for dismissal. On that basis alone, the Court may dismiss the action. If Plaintiff objects to the dismissal, Plaintiff shall object to the tentative ruling and appear. If Plaintiff fails to appear for the hearing on the order to show cause IN PERSON, the Court will dismiss the action per the OSC.
