Marie Parker v. Steven Parker

Petitioner Marie Parker filed a request for order (RFO) on May 29, 2026, seeking appointment of an Elisor to effectuate transfer of a property in San Bernardino County pursuant to the parties’ judgment of dissolution filed May 7, 2025. According to Petitioner, Respondent has refused to sign the quitclaim deed to transfer the property. Respondent has not filed an opposition.

Petitioner attached a form quitclaim deed identifying the San Bernardino County property by APN and legal description.

Petitioner’s RFO does not comply MCR Fam 7.35 as she did not provide a proposed order. Petitioner is referred to the Legal Self-Help Office for assistance in submitting a proposed order. The matter is continued to August 4, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. If Petitioner submits a proposed order that conforms to the requirements of MCR Fam 7.35 with proof of service of the order on Respondent, the Court will sign the order and no appearances will be required on August 4, 2026.

Petitioner also filed an RFO on May 28, 2026 seeking permission to renew and hold Skylar’s (their minor child) passport and to travel with her to Canada for two weeks a year. The parties share joint legal and physical custody and their existing order has no provisions regarding international travel. Respondent has not filed an opposition.

Petitioner’s request is GRANTED. Petitioner shall have sole legal authority to renew passport and to hold it; Petitioner must keep the passport current. Either parent may travel internationally and must provide 30-day notice of the travel with a full itinerary. If Respondent wishes to travel, Petitioner must provide the passport no later than 2 weeks before the departure date. Respondent must return the passport to Petitioner within 1 week of Skylar’s return to the United States.

As authorized by CRC Rule 5.125, the Court shall prepare the formal Findings and Order After Hearing.
