GEICO INDEMNITY COMPANY v. GRIMM Case No. cl24-02778

Motion by Defendant to Pay Judgment in Installments

TENTATIVE RULING

After the filing of this motion in January 2026, the parties executed and the court signed in April a stipulation and order to pay off the judgment in installments.

The court presumes that a certified copy of the stipulation and order can be submitted to the DMV (if it has not already been submitted), as part of the process to reinstate Defendant’s driver’s license (as long as he continues to make the installment payments as they become due, and maintains vehicle insurance in the amount required under California law). Vehicle Code §16379.

The court therefore denies this motion as moot.
