Ruling

CASE NUMBER: CVPG94-0019985 This matter is on calendar for hearing on a Petition for Appointment of a Co-Conservator of the Person and Estate. The Court notes that Conservatorship was initially established in 1994, and the currently Petitioner/Conservator recently passed away. The matter has been properly noticed with proof of service on file. Counsel has been appointed for the Conservatee. No objections have been raised. The Court has reviewed the Court Investigator’s report filed on June 11, 2026, which recommends granting the Petition.

The report states that the Conservatee will attend the hearing. The Court intends to GRANT the Petition absent an appearance and objection as noted below. A proposed order was submitted and will be executed. The Court waives the requirement of a bond and letters shall issue. Future Accountings are waived, unless the requirements of Probate Code §§ 2628(b) or (c) are met. The Court vacates the future date of July 12, 2027, for Biennial Review. The matter will be set for Monday, June 28, 2027, at 2:30 p.m. in Department 44 for Annual Review.

An appearance is necessary on today’s calendar only if there is an objection by the Public Defender’s office.
