Ruling

CASE NUMBER: 26CV-0210492 Disclosure by the Court: The Court makes the following disclosure to all parties in this case. Judge Benjamin L. Hanna discloses that his spouse is an employee of the County of Shasta, working in the Office of the District Attorney. The Court has no reason to believe that Judge Hanna’s spouse had any involvement in the investigation, management, prosecution or defense of this case, but does disclose the employment relationship between the respondent to the lawsuit (County of Shasta) and the Court’s first degree relative as required by California Code of Judicial Ethics, Canon 3E(2).

This CEQA matter is on calendar for status of the writ. On April 30, 2026, the Court issued an Order requiring the parties to meet and confer regarding status of service, status of administrative record, and a briefing schedule. The parties are ordered to appear and provide this information. The Court notes that all parties in this matter, with the exception of Real Party In Interest have filed documents in this matter. The Court further notes that a CEQA Settlement Meeting was to occur on June 18, 2026. No status statements were filed. An appearance is necessary on today’s calendar.
