Ruling

TENTATIVE RULING: Notice has been properly published and no written objections have been filed. The petition is GRANTED without need for appearance.

In The Matter of Ellenor Kathleen Braddon Harkin 26CV000747

PETITION FOR CHANGE OF NAME

TENTATIVE RULING: The Petition and Order to Show Cause (OSC) are somewhat vague in that they list three current last names, all purportedly for the same person. (See Pet. ¶ at 1; OSC at ¶ 2.) However, the Proof of Publication (POP) shows that only one name was published: Ellenor Kathleen Braddon Harkin. Thus, the request to change the name Ellenor Kathleen Braddon Harkin to Ellenor Kathleen McHarrie is GRANTED. To the extent that Petitioner also sought to change other names by this same petition, the Petition is DENIED in those respects.

The Court will sign the Proposed Order, limited however, to changing the name Ellenor Kathleen Braddon Harkin to Ellenor Kathleen McHarrie.

If this is inconsistent with Petitioner’s wishes, she should request Oral Argument pursuant to Local Rule 2.9, and appear at hearing to discuss with the Court.
