CASE NUMBER: 26PC-0033428 This matter is on calendar for hearing on an Ex Parte Application for Order Shortening Time for Notice of Intent to Register Conservatorship & Conservatorship Registration. The matter has not been properly noticed. The proof of service filed on June 10, 2026, indicates that service was provided by electronic mail to several individuals; however, no consent to electronic service has been filed. Probate Code Section 2014 requires that notice of an intent to register the conservatorship in this state be provided at least 15 days prior to registration to all persons who would be entitled to notice of a Petition for 2
Appointment of a Conservator in this state and to the court supervising the conservatorship. There is no proof of service for the court supervising the conservatorship in Wisconsin and service was made only 5 days prior to the hearing. Probate Code Section 2014 does not provide the Court with discretion to shorten the notice period and Petitioner has not provided any authority that would allow the Court to do so. The Application is DENIED. A proposed Order was lodged and will be modified to reflect the Court’s ruling. No appearance is necessary on today’s calendar.
